Christopher SilvestriAdjunct Instructor, Theater Studies
Biography
Chris Silvestri is a classically trained, Atlanta-based actor originally from South Bend, Indiana. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2013 and worked professionally in Los Angeles before moving to New York to attend The Juilliard School.
He earned his MFA from The Juilliard School's Drama Division (Group 50) in 2021. There, he developed a passion for physical theatre and movement under renowned movement instructor Moni Yakim. He has since brought that training into the professional world, collaborating with acclaimed movement director Terry Notary as a motion capture performer on Netflix's postapocalyptic sci-fi adventure The Electric State, portraying more than ten distinct characters.
Chris's work bridges stage and screen, combining rigorous classical training with contemporary performance and emerging technologies. As both an actor and educator, he strives to foster curious, collaborative artists who approach performance with generosity, discipline, and imagination. He believes meaningful storytelling emerges from a willingness to take risks, embrace play, and remain open to continuous growth throughout an artist's career. He can also be seen—this time in human form—in the Netflix feature The Rip, starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.
