Stephanie Patton-ButlerFinance & Accounting Specialist, Theater Emory

Biography

Stephanie Patton Butler joined Theater Emory in December 20198 as the Finance & Accounting Specialist. She manages all financial operations for Theater Emory and its productions. Stephanie initially joined the Emory community in 2007 at the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts where she advanced to Box Office Manager and held her position until 2018. In the prior five years, Stephanie served as Director of Marketing & Operations for Residential Real Estate at the law firm of Morris, Manning & Martin. Before her marketing career, she worked as an Admissions Counselor & Registrar for the Alliance Theatre’s Education Program. During her tenure at the Alliance, Stephanie also held professional positions as Stage Manager & Music Coordinator for a production of Neil Simon’s Proposals and Sound & Music Designer for Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Stephanie earned a BA in Theatre from Agnes Scott College in May 1997. During her studies she served as Director of Patio (1997); Technical Sound Director for Loose Knit (1996); Writer and Performer for Theatreworks (1995); Assistant Director for Parallel Lives (1995); Assistant Costume Coordinator & Props Coordinator for A Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe (1994); Assistant Director for annual children's play, Dreamnibbler (1993). Stephanie earned an extended study scholarship to Agnes Scott College’s Fifth Year Free program, where she pursued studies in early childhood education with an emphasis on equity and inclusion for students with disabilities.
