Biography

Daniel Parker (he/him) received his BFA in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Technical Direction from Jacksonville University and a MA in Performing Arts Administration from Roosevelt University.

Previously, Daniel was the Director of Technical Theatre for the Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts. During that time, he created curriculum for the technical theatre program, growing it from 15 students to 60 in ten years. Daniel also developed and consulted extensively for a new performing arts center at CCCEPA, including production spaces and a 750-seat fully functional proscenium stage.

He has also served as Technical Director for the Olney Theatre Center outside Washington, DC. During his time at Olney, Daniel worked on nearly 40 productions, including three tours of the National Players, the nation’s longest-running Shakespeare touring company. Before Olney Theatre, Daniel was a set carpenter, electrician, and stagehand in Jacksonville, Florida. He also served as the Associate Production Manager for the Nathan H. Wilson Center for the Performing Arts at Florida State College, from which he received an AS in Entertainment Technology.

Daniel is a member of USITT and IATSE Local 115 in Jacksonville, Florida.
