Emory Student Free Ticket Policy

  • Schwartz Center Box Office: Emory students may receive two free tickets to any production by visiting the Schwartz Center Box Office in person between 12 pm and 6 pm Monday through Friday. Must show Emory student ID.
  • By Phone: Emory students may receive two free tickets to any production by calling the Schwartz Center Box Office at 404.727.5050 between 12 pm and 6 pm Monday through Friday. Must present Emory student I.D. when picking up tickets.
  • Online: You are able to book up to two free tickets for each Theater Emory production. To do so:

     

    • For Emory student tickets to Little Shop of Horrors – Select this link

    • Choose the date of the show you wish to attend and click that link.
    • Indicate the number of tickets you wish to reserve. Please note: if you choose more than 2 tickets as an Emory student, you will not be able to proceed. Ticket max is two.
    • When you reach the check out page, press check out to reserve. You will register your Emory email to proceed.
    • You MUST provide your Emory email in the check-out process or your tickets will not be FREE. All Emory students must present their Emory student ID to pick up their tickets at the performance.
  • In Person: Emory students may also receive two free tickets to any production by visiting the box office the night of the show. Must show student ID.

The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!

Long after returning from Neverland, Wendy decides that she must find Peter in order to reclaim her kiss and move on with her life. Along the way, she meets other girls who went to Neverland and learns she is not alone. A coming-of-age exploration of first love and lasting loss, Lost Girl continues the story of J.M. Barrie’s beloved character – the girl who had to grow up.

Blood Wedding is a tragedy about a Girl caught between two men in a repressive society and explores the themes of love, gender roles, and isolation. The Boy is in love with the Girl, who is still in love with her first boyfriend, Leonardo.

Join the creative team of Blood Wedding: Director Lee Osorio, Dramaturg Dalyla Nicole, and cast member Dionna D. Davis as they discuss and answer your questions about the playwright Lorca and how Langston Hughes's translation impacted the work. We will also discuss the creative team’s process in creating the world of Blood Wedding and the choice to cast the show with all female-identifying and non-binary performers.

In Spring 2024 the Playwriting Center of Theater Emory will produce Brave New Works 2024, a three-week developmental series for new work. This year will showcase two staged readings focusing on Theater for Young Audiences, as well as a panel discussion on the developmental process.

As billionaires take off into space to colonize Mars, Will and June, two impoverished teenagers from a drought-stricken town, watch the rocket launch and reflect upon their lifelong friendship. June is devastated when she learns that Will is obsessed with the impossible hope of leaving Earth behind forever–and her along with it. Felicity is the second installment of a five-play cycle examining human connection and the climate crisis.

When a violent forest fire engulfs the home of a young girl, a mysterious nameless boy rescues her and takes her to his home in the sky, a house made entirely of clouds. The two reach an agreement to help each other: she’ll find his name if he finds her family. Together as they battle against the pressure they place on themselves, they grow ever closer, learning how to forgive themselves and validate each other’s invisible pain.
